Hello Friends and Listeners! Welcome to the “Big Gay Roadtrip 3: Driving Towards Equality.” Yesterday, July 3rd, I started my 2500 mile road trip from my home in NE Ohio to Palm Springs, California for a month’s residency at the INNdulge Resort. I will be adding blogs from time to time throughout the trip and I hope you will follow on social media and our podcast distributors for LIVE Streams and Panel Interviews.
This is my 3rd roadtrip to Palm Springs, but my first back since the pandemic. The last time we went out was in 2019. Being based in NE Ohio, 99.9 percent of all my interviews are done remotely with my celebrity and personality friends across the country and around the world, but taking the show to Palm Springs for a month, let’s my guests from the LA and surrounding areas, come out for live, in person chats, which I love.
This year the roadtrip starts today, July 3rd and will go through August 9th. We will be doing LIVE panels on Tuesdays and Wednesdays LIVE from 12noon PST / 3pm EST for about an hour and a half each, then they will be up on YouTube and our podcast distributors the next day. Some of my favorite guests will be coming down and lots of new friends as well. This year we will also be raising money for a couple Pride Centers and doing two events.
On Wednesday, July 10, my co-host of our “Bears of a Certain Age,” Jonny and I will be hosting a bear night at Hunters Bar in Palm Springs with special guests Adult model and singer Queen Sir Jet and actor and comedian Jason Stuart. We will have Hunters weekly Drag Bingo, photo opportunities, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle to raise money for the Centers. This is a free event to the public.

On Wednesday, July 17th, I will be featuring a Comedy and Variety night at the Revolution Staging Company in Palm Springs. The event will be hosted by my friends Emerson Collins and Blake McIver and will be headlined by my dear friend Del Shores. Also on the bill is comedian Steven Zakari and we just might have a few special guests as well. The cost for this event is $25 and a special listener code of “Pride” gives you $5 off. There will also be another silent auction and 50/50 raffle to help raise money for the roadtrip and the Centers.
As I write this, I have completed leg 1 of my roadtrip. I drove from Youngstown, Ohio to Omaha Nebraska, checked out the local gay scene, (thank you Omaha Mining Co.), and filled up the tank in my trusty Jeep Compass, “Miss Penny Lane Changer,” 3 times at $40 a pop. First night was at the Courtyard Marriott and I am rested and heading to Denver area this morning to visit with good friends.

Please follow along on social media and here for LIVE updates, streams and then Panel Interviews with my celebrity guests every Tuesday and Wednesday from INNdulge in Palm Springs.
